Hussein Ellabny

From Medical Rep to Demand & Supply Planning Manager

LinkedIn profile

For nine years, I was a Medical Representative.

That experience taught me something no dashboard or spreadsheet ever could: how markets behave, how customers think, and why trust always comes before sales. I learned that great results don’t come from selling products—they come from creating value.

Then I made a career move that changed everything.

I didn’t leave sales because I was done with it. I moved into Supply Chain Planning because I wanted to work on the decisions that drive sales before they even happen.

Today, I work as a Demand & Supply Planning Manager at Jamjoom Pharma, where my mission goes far beyond forecasting demand.

I believe planning is only successful when it delivers measurable business results.

Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to lead and contribute to projects that made a real impact.

One of the biggest milestones was helping lead the company’s strategic transition from a Make-to-Order (MTO) model to a Make-to-Stock (MTS) model. The transition wasn’t easy. It required solving operational challenges, refining the planning process, and continuously improving the model until it reached stability and delivered the expected business value.

Another major achievement was serving as the Demand Data Transformation Lead during Jamjoom Pharma’s Integrated Business Planning (IBP) implementation. I led the transformation of complex demand data from the legacy system into the new IBP structure, enabling the organization to maximize the value of its technology investment while significantly improving demand planning productivity ahead of Go-Live.

Beyond my corporate role, I’ve also worked as a Freelance Supply Chain Consultant, helping companies improve their operational planning, transform raw data into actionable insights, and make better business decisions based on facts—not assumptions.

Learning has always been one of my core values.

I earned my MBA, graduating second in my class, and I continue learning every day because I believe the future belongs to professionals who understand both the technical side of business and the business itself.

The world doesn’t just need analysts.

It needs people who can connect strategy with execution, data with decisions, and planning with real business outcomes.

Throughout my journey, one belief has remained constant:

Data has no value unless it changes a decision.

Planning has no value unless it leads to execution.

If you’re interested in practical insights from real business challenges—not just theory—I’d be happy to connect and exchange ideas.
